New and Improved Collagen

Australia has a long history of ingenuity and clever inventions (you know, like the refrigerator, the electic drill and the bionic ear!) and now in 2025 this continues into the world of Collagen production.

A new supplier in the Australian market has found a way to produce collagen in such a way that is fresher, has a reduced environmental impact and is consistent in a small molecular size, which equates to better absorption.

Here's why we love the new collagen and how it's different:

1) It's Fresher

This collagen is made on the same day and at the same facility that the beef cattle are processed so the hides are not sitting around for weeks before processing

2) It's less processed

This collagen is made in a short 8 hr duration. This results in a product that is beige (not pure white) and has an aroma similar to beef tallow (not odourless). The taste is still very mild and easily disguised in beverages and food. Think brown bread vs white bread or raw sugar vs. white sugar. It takes MORE processing to make a food white and tasteless!

3) It is both small and uniform in size for improved bioavailability

This collagen is lab tested in Australia and shown to have 85 - 90% the molecular size of 10,000 daltons or less (mostly between 3k - 5k), with the remaining 10% under 25,000 dalton. Many collagens claim less than 5,000 daltons but not what % of the collagen is made up of this size.

4) It has farm-to-plate traceability

Every batch of collagen made can be traced back to the Australian farm the cattle came from.

5) It is ethically made

Derived from Grass fed, 100% free range, Australian cattle which are humanely and ethically raised and processed

6) It has a reduced envirinmental footprint

Shorter processing means less waste water and power used to produce the end product. Australian made means reduced food milage.
